Vintage/Retro would be a good example for entertainment also can be used for posters, DVD cover, Video Game covers and books to drag the attention of its audience, as it allows us to get a taste of the recent past. Many are inspired by, The Victorian Era, Steampunk, Gothic, and Mid-Century Modern & Pop Art.
Aesthetics of Retro/Vintage style
Most designers and audience mainly love Retro/Vintage style as it always us to look at the past (70s/80s/90s) and it gives most of the audience mainly young adults and adults who were around the time these styles were popular it gives them a sense of nostalgia and it gives young adults a taste of their past. It is also liked and is rising in popularity like Grunge( learn about Grunge style). I personally prefer this style over Grunge because of its use of colors and the style as it adapts to mainly to the 70s,80s and 90s and just associated with punk and dirty style like Grunge(In my opinion) this is what makes Retro/Vintage style better for me.
